The program is simple to use. Customers simply need to sign up for a Kroger Plus Card and link it to their Kroger Fuel Rewards account. Every time they shop at Kroger, they will earn points that can be used to save money on gas. The more points they earn, the more money they can save.

Usually, each dollar spent on groceries earns one fuel point and each dollar spent on gift cards equals two fuel points.

Company officials say some gift cards—like Kroger gift cards—are excluded, but the promotion is still one that can help you save money at the pump.
“For every 100 fuel points earned, customers can receive 10 cents off per gallon at any Kroger Fuel Center,” Felix Turner, the corporate affairs manager for Kroger’s Atlanta Division said about the deal, according to Atlanta local news station WMBF. “We know many shoppers purchase gift cards to use like cash when dining out or shopping in other locations, so this offers a great way for our customers to save on fuel at the same time.”
Another separate promotion is going on through March 29, too. This one involves rewards members getting 2x the fuel points on groceries after applying a digital coupon found on Kroger’s website or app. The company operates over 2,700 stores in 35 different states.
