She found something that no one should ever find in their food, and it’s enough to make your stomach turn. In this article, we’ll discuss the woman’s discovery and provide tips on how to avoid similar situations in the future.

Woman Finds Gross Discovery In Her Grocery Store Ice Cream Tub

A woman in the United Kingdom recently made a shocking discovery when she opened a tub of ice cream from her local grocery store. She found a large, dead insect inside the ice cream, which she quickly shared on social media.

The woman, who goes by the name of @sarah_louise_x on Twitter, posted a photo of the insect in the ice cream, along with a caption that read: “Just opened a tub of ice cream from @Tesco and found this inside. Absolutely disgusting.”

The photo quickly went viral, with many people expressing their shock and disgust at the discovery. Tesco, the grocery store where the ice cream was purchased, responded to the tweet and apologized for the incident.

The company said: “We’re sorry to hear this and would like to look into this further for you. Could you please DM us with more details?”

The incident has sparked a debate about food safety and the importance of checking food before consuming it. It also serves as a reminder to always be aware of what you’re eating and to always check for any foreign objects before consuming food.

Eat This Not That

When it comes to food safety, it’s always best to be cautious. Before consuming any food, always check for any foreign objects or signs of contamination. If you find anything suspicious, don’t eat it and contact the store or manufacturer immediately.

It’s also important to be aware of the expiration dates on food products and to always follow the instructions on the packaging. If you’re ever in doubt, it’s best to throw the food away and buy a new one.

During summertime, ice cream is the perfect treat to cool down and relax with.

But unfortunately, one Hy-Vee customer wasn’t able to do that with the tub of vanilla Blue Bunny ice cream that she purchased recently.

That’s because an unlikely hitchhiker was inside the tub. That’s right—a large frog or toad was stuck right under the lid and embedded itself into the creamy treat.

In a Facebook post, the customer, Tracy Holtman, said the frog was trapped underneath the tub’s plastic seal. The amphibian must have hopped in at the factory before making its way to the freezer.

This is not the first time that an animal hitch-hiker has spoiled someone’s snack. In March, a woman in the U.K. found a snail shell inside her McDonald’s burger. It likely grabbed onto a piece of lettuce and hitched a ride into the restaurant’s supply.

Regardless of how the frog got into the ice cream tub, Wells Enterprises, the producer of Blue Bunny ice cream, told Delish that the discovery quickly prompted an investigation.

“Wells Enterprises launched an investigation into this incident immediately upon learning of it, in addition to reaching out directly to the affected consumer,” a spokesperson for the brand said. “We acknowledge the product in question is made by Wells Enterprises and, through our investigation, we confirmed this could not have occurred during our manufacturing process, but instead would have taken place after the product left our facility.”

The rep continued, saying that product safety is a top priority at the company.

“Product safety is our top priority at Wells, and we consistently achieve the highest quality standards in our facilities and in our manufacturing processes. We have robust quality systems in place, and constantly evaluate our standards and processes to prevent anything like this from happening.”

Popular fact-checking website Snopes took a deep dive into this story and determined it’s possible that the frog was put there deliberately after the item was purchased.

Regardless, Holtman said she didn’t consume the contaminated ice cream and plans to return the tub to Hy-Vee for a refund.
