However, it’s essential to be aware of the potential warning signs and take action if you experience them. One early warning sign of high cholesterol is the development of yellow patches on the skin, known as xanthomas. These patches typically appear around the eyes, eyelids, or elbows. Another symptom to watch for is fatigue. This can be caused by an underlying heart condition aggravated by high cholesterol. If you experience sudden or unexplained tiredness, it’s essential to see a doctor. Chest pain is another symptom that can occur with high cholesterol. This is usually caused by plaque buildup in the arteries that supply blood to the heart muscle. If you have chest pain, it’s essential to seek medical help. These are just a few of the potential warning signs of high cholesterol. If you experience any of them, you must see a doctor to get treatment and reduce your risk of severe health problems.”

According to Dr. Mitchell, “When you lower your blood pressure, one surprising thing is a lower risk of experiencing heart disease or stroke. High blood pressure puts excess strain on the cardiovascular system, increasing the risk of blockages and causing damage to vital organs like the heart, kidneys, and brain. You can reduce this strain and significantly improve your cardiovascular health by lowering your blood pressure through diet, exercise, and other lifestyle changes.”

High cholesterol can cause erectile dysfunction, reduced libido, and ejaculatory problems. High cholesterol can cause thickening of the arteries, called atherosclerosis. In addition, high cholesterol can contribute to heart disease, which can reduce blood flow to the genitals and lead to sexual problems.
