Whether fans can expect a national rollout anytime soon is unclear. However, McDonald’s has alluded to bringing the famous Steak, Egg & Cheese sandwich back last year on Twitter, so it could be something to look forward to.
And Mickey D’s knows fans are tired of waiting. Right now, 25,000 people have petitioned to have the Steak, Egg, & Cheese sandwich back on the menu. All the same, while the bagels have made a comeback, All-day breakfast may never grace the permanent menu again.

In June of 2020, the National Owners Association, a group of about 80% of franchised locations, voted “no” to bringing back McDonald’s breakfast all day, saying streamlining operations and quicker turnarounds were more important. So while all-day is off the table, McDonald’s is open to bringing back some popular breakfast items, if only for a limited time–just don’t expect to be able to eat them at noon.
