The new desserts are currently being tested at select locations across New York, Illinois, and California. Customers can purchase three, six, and 12-piece orders at a suggested price of $1.99, $3.99, and $7.49, respectively (prices may vary). It’s unclear how long the fruity beignets will be available.
The release of the Wild Berry Beignets is just one of many moves Popeyes has made in the fried desserts category, with the item being the chain’s second beignet iteration. The Wild Berry Beignet’s debut comes shortly after Popeyes’ nationwide relaunch of its popular Flounder Fish Sandwich. Made for the Lenten season, the sandwich comes in both a Classic and Spicy version at a recommended price of $4.49.
