What Flupentixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg Tablets are and what they are used for Flupentixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg Tablets contain two active ingredients, flupentixol dihydrochloride and melitracen. Flupentixol dihydrochloride belongs to a group of medicines called antipsychotics. It works by blocking the action of certain chemicals in the brain. Melitracen belongs to a group of medicines called tricyclic antidepressants. It works by increasing the levels of certain chemicals in the brain. Before you take Flupentixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg Tablets Do not take Flupentixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg Tablets if: – you are allergic (hypersensitive) to flupentixol dihydrochloride, melitracen or any of the other ingredients of Flupentixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg Tablets (listed in section 6) – you have severe liver or kidney problems – you have a history of heart problems – you have a history of glaucoma (increased pressure in the eye) – you have a history of epilepsy – you have a history of mania – you are pregnant or breast-feeding – you are taking other medicines which interact with Flupentixol 0.5 mg and Melitracen 10 mg Tablets (see section 3).
