What Shoppers Need to Know

Before the warehouse comes to Natomas, there are a few things residents need to know about Costco.

There are two types of Costco memberships: the Gold Star and the Executive. The basic Gold Star option costs $60 per year, and offers two membership cards per household. Gold Star members can also enjoy the food court, the pharmacy and eye center, the tire center, and receive special offers on travel.

The Executive membership comes in at double the price, but also offers a 2% rewards program, a free subscription to Costco Connection Magazine plus all the benefits of the cheaper membership option.

According to analysts, the warehouse chain increases the membership rates on an average of every 5.5 years. There hasn’t been an increase since 2017—so there may be a membership hike sometime soon.
