7 Tips You Must Follow to Avoid COVID, Say Virus Experts — Eat This Not That

As the world continues to grapple with the novel coronavirus pandemic, experts are offering advice on how to stay safe and healthy. Here are seven tips from virus experts on how to avoid COVID-19:

1. Wear a Mask

Wearing a face mask is one of the most effective ways to protect yourself and others from the virus. Make sure to wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth when you are in public or around people who don’t live in your household.

2. Practice Social Distancing

Maintain a distance of at least six feet from other people when you are in public. This will help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

3. Wash Your Hands Frequently

Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.

4. Avoid Touching Your Face

The virus can enter your body through your eyes, nose, and mouth, so it’s important to avoid touching your face. If you do touch your face, make sure to wash your hands first.

5. Disinfect Surfaces

Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces, such as doorknobs, countertops, and light switches, to help reduce the spread of the virus.

6. Stay Home When You’re Sick

If you are feeling sick, stay home and avoid contact with other people. This will help prevent the spread of the virus.

7. Eat This, Not That

Eating a healthy diet can help boost your immune system and protect you from the virus. Choose foods that are high in vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Avoid processed foods, sugary drinks, and foods high in saturated fat.

COVID cases are drastically decreasing, but experts warn there will likely be an uptick soon because of the surge currently happening overseas. Although guidelines have been relaxed in many areas, taking precautionary measures is key in helping prevent the spread of COVID-19 and catching the virus. Eat This, Not That!
