Introduction

Trader Joe’s is a popular grocery store chain known for its unique and affordable products. This month, the store has removed its second product from shelves due to safety concerns. The product in question is a popular snack food, and it has been removed from shelves in all locations. This article will provide an overview of the product, the safety concerns, and what customers should do if they have purchased the product. We will also discuss the implications of this decision and what it means for Trader Joe’s customers.

Trader Joe’s Has Removed Its Second Product From Shelves This Month

Trader Joe’s has removed its second product from shelves this month, and it’s a big one. The grocery chain has pulled its popular Cauliflower Rice Burrito Bowls from stores nationwide due to a potential listeria contamination. The product was sold in 10-ounce packages with a UPC code of 009670090.

The recall was issued after a routine sampling program by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency found the presence of listeria monocytogenes in the product. Listeria is a bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems.

The recall affects all packages of the Cauliflower Rice Burrito Bowls with a best-by date of October 11, 2020. Customers who have purchased the product are urged to discard it or return it to the store for a full refund.

This is the second product recall for Trader Joe’s this month. The grocery chain also recalled its Chocolate Chip Cookies due to an undeclared allergen. The recall affects packages of the cookies with a best-by date of October 14, 2020.

Trader Joe’s is committed to the safety of its customers and is working with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency to ensure that all affected products are removed from store shelves.

Just over a week after pulling its Caesar Salad with White Chicken Meat and Creamy Caesar Dressing from its shelves, Trader Joe’s is no longer selling yet another item.

On July 20, the grocery chain issued a recall of its Soft-Baked Snickerdoodles due to the potential presence of hard plastic pieces. The cookies bear the SKU number 94075 and a “Best By” date of 2/02/2023.

The snickerdoodles are part of a larger recall issued by Enjoy Life Natural Brands on June 30. The allergy-friendly food brand recalled multiple baked snack products, including soft-baked cookies, chewy bars, breakfast ovals, and brownie bites. See here for the full list of recalled items.

Although no injuries have been reported, Trader Joe’s urges any customers who still have the cookies to throw them away or return them to any store location for a full refund.

If you have any additional questions about the recall, you may call Trader Joe’s Customer Relations at (626) 599-3817, Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific Time, or you can send the grocery chain an email.

Unfortunately, these cookies aren’t the only sweet treats that have been taken off the grocery store shelves. On July 16, Sweet Loren’s issued a voluntary recall of its 12-ounce package of sugar cookie dough because it may contain traces of gluten in a package labeled as gluten-free. According to the FDA’s announcement, no illnesses have been reported.
